P U M P S PJR and PJR-A: Paragon Junior Paragon pumps produce pressure pulsations that can reduce pressure switch accuracy and reliability when mounted directly on top of the pump. Current production pumps (after serial number 030701-01) include #17-0012-00 plumbing kit that enables the installer to locate the pressure switch at the pressure storage tank, where pump pulsations are effectively dampened. #17-0012-00 may be ordered to upgrade and improve the performance of older pumps. PJR: Paragon Junior PJR pumps manufactured between 020801 and 030615 were equipped with a pressure transducer, identified by its metallic color and plug-in wire harness. If you have a PJR pump that has a transducer you are eligible for a no-charge replacement pump.
