For
as long as raw water strainers have been made, and as long as
they perform their intended function, they become clogged with
sea grass or jellyfish, become excessively restrictive, and require
system shutdown for filter basket maitnenance and cleaning.
The
installation of a Hydromatic® strainer will eliminate the nuisance
of unwanted and untimely system shut-downs, and because Hydromatic®
can function as a sea-chest it can replace multiple seacocks, traditional
strainers, thru-hull fittings and related plumbing, thus reducing
the cost of new or retrofit installations.

-
A
30-second filter basket cleaning cycle is automatically performed
at intervals selected by the user.
-
Purge
option overrides selected cleaning interval.
-
A macerator grinds and discharges accumulated debris overboard.
-
“Ignition
Protected” permanent magnet motor is submersible.
-
Installation may be horizontal or vertical (flooded inlet is required).

911-1000
Series is intended to provide filtered water to a single-consumer
(air conditioning system, for example). It has 1” NPT ports
for raw water-in, filtered water-out and macerated debris discharge.
-
970-1500 Series is intended to provide filtered water
to multiple consumers (multi-unit air conditioner system vessels,
for example). It has a 1-1/2” NPT inlet and one 1/2” and
two 3/4” NPT outlets, and a 3/4” macerated debris discharge.
-
970-1515 and 970-2020 Series are intended to provide
filtered water to a single large consumer (a main engine, for example).
Each has the same NPT size raw water inlet as filtered water outlet,
and a 3/4” NPT macerated debris discharge.
